Over the last 14 years, our annual charity golf tournament has raised an incredible $724,000 for Southlake Regional Health Centre! This amazing achievement wouldn’t have been possible without you, our committed sponsors and participants.

We’re beyond excited to celebrate our 15th anniversary of our annual charity golf tournament. Thanks to your unwavering support, we’ve been able to fund vital updates to medical equipment, ensuring that our community receives top-notch healthcare. This year our focus is on Emergency Care at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

That’s how often a new patient arrives in Southlake’s Emergency Department, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On average, 326 people seek treatment daily, sometimes as many as 400, for everything from influenza to broken bones to life-threatening conditions. Did you know that Southlake was recently identified as one of Ontario’s first Level III Trauma Centres with a highly skilled and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who work around the clock to provide lifesaving care?

That’s how many patients seek emergency care at Southlake each year in spaces built in 2003 to serve 80,000 — 50 percent more per year than the space was designed for. Annual visits have doubled over the last twenty years without expansion. Their physicians, nurses, and staff work tirelessly to create efficiencies, maximize their smaller space, and innovate to minimize waiting times to be the best in the province and maintain the high-quality care they are known for. Southlake is home to phenomenal talent, but hard work and uniquely compassionate care only get them so far. They urgently need an environment to match their abilities and efforts. They do not want a lack of space and aging equipment to affect patient care.
